Translations live inside the Products editor as columns, one for each language set up in your Shopify store, so you edit them alongside the original.

Editing translations

Add the translation columns you need from Columns, then edit cells as normal. Changes are drafts until you send them to Shopify.

Translating with AI

AI can translate product titles, descriptions and search text into your other languages. Results land as drafts for you to review, and Moddi never silently replaces a translation you have corrected by hand.

Keeping brand terms right

In Settings, then AI writing, you can set a glossary, one line per term:

  • A term on its own is never translated, such as a brand name.
  • Write Sale = Soldes to always translate a term a fixed way.
  • Write Free shipping = fr: Livraison offerte; de: Kostenloser Versand to set the wording for each language.

Requiring translations

In Settings, then Ready for Shopify, you can require a field's translations before a product counts as ready.

Credits

Translating uses AI credits. Moddi shows an estimate before each run and won't start one you can't afford.
